The Fukushima Prefectural Centre for Environmental Creation is a facility established by Fukushima Prefecture as a comprehensive center for environmental recovery and creative initiatives following the nuclear disaster.
At the communication building "Commutan Fukushima," visitors can learn about radiation and environmental issues from a familiar perspective.
The goal is to create a place that will serve as a springboard for thinking, creating, and communicating the future of Fukushima.

Learn about the Great East Japan Earthquake and Nuclear Disaster
A model of the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant after the accident is also on display to give visitors a realistic overview of the accident.
You can also look back on Fukushima’s progress toward recovery through videos, chronology, and newspapers from the time of the Great East Japan Earthquake.

Environmental Creation Theater–Envision the Future
Visitors can experience the beautiful nature of Fukushima in one of only two full-spherical theaters in Japan.
You can also watch original programs of the National Museum of Nature and Science on Saturdays and Sundays such as “A 13.8 Billion Year Journey through the Universe.”
